Position Description
Performs advanced, specialized work in the planning, conducting, and/or supervising of original research at TTUHSC El Paso. Responsible for participating in, planning, scheduling, and/or supervising research projects and the interpretation of the results for publication. Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based on accomplishment of assigned objectives and overall effectiveness of project. May supervise research and student assistants.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Works with Director in identifying data points for measurable outcomes in research activities.
  • Identify and cultivate research opportunities which align with TTUHSC and TECHS mission.
  • Generate a catalog of informational data that can be easily accessed for research/grant creation by a number of faculty and staff.
  •  Perform data analysis of usage and utilization of TECHS rooms, and equipment in the learning management system.
  • Assists in coordinating special research and educational projects in TECHS. Such as assisting in the  development of special grants, collecting project data for special reports, usage metrics, and assisting the director in planning and conducting appropriate research.
  • Provides support to faculty/staff members with daily tasks related to simulation delivery to ensure research and educational effectiveness.
  • Writes and revises original manuscripts according to journal and submission requirements.
  • Develop a research collaborative with partnering departments to create and develop research opportunities for publication and presentation.
