This is a project leadership role highly focused on the FUSION product line including hands on development/troubleshooting/problem solving opportunities. This position is a remote employee.Job Responsibilities:This job is unique in that it is a project leadership role with our development teams. Expectations include leading a cross-functional team daily and coordinating regularly with engineering and project management to ensure success of the product and program. This includes leading and managing aspects of quality, cost, schedule, and scope while navigating the various team dynamics present.  The selected candidate will contribute to a team involved in most phases of systems engineering projects: planning, capture of system requirements, system design, test development, system integration, verification, and validation. The selected candidate will work closely with System Leads, Domain/Software Leads, Verification, & Validation (IV&V) Leads to ensure that the system meets requirements and expectations and satisfies program cost and schedule constraints.Other responsibilities and job requirements includeDemonstrated time management skills - ability to work unsupervised, multi-task, and coordinate workRegular time onsite to support lab integration activities when requiredSucceed while leading in a team environment and in the remote work personaExcellent communication (written, verbal, and interpersonal)AGILE development experience including leadership rolesWillingness to travel (domestic and international <20%)Typically Requires:Bachelor’s degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations. ORAdvanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience ORIn absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is requiredMust be a US Citizen.Preferred Requirements: An individual with a broad range of skills and knowledge in system, software, and hardware engineering; interface protocols; and general problem solving. This may include designing interfaces among multiple subsystems to ensure the system functions as intended. The role is highly dynamic, often requiring coordination among the various subsystem teams and rapid resolution of technical issues that arise.
