Project Summary:

The Data and Evidence for Education Programs (DEEP) project, implemented by EnCompass LLC and its partner, Management Systems International (a Tetra Tech company), is designed to mobilize the technical expertise necessary to establish visionary education evidence agendas for USAID, make strong secondary data available and accessible via USAID enterprise systems, and produce innovative analysis of secondary data. The DEEP project supports USAID efforts to increase the availability, quality, and use of data and evidence for education programming, with two overarching aims: (1) supporting USAID staff and key stakeholders to make evidence-based decisions and inform future education sector programming, and (2) tracking progress toward meeting strategic objectives.

In 2018 USAID’s Youth Workforce Development (YWFD) Learning Agenda (LA) catalyzed research to advance key learning questions related to YWFD. More than three years later, USAID is considering refreshing this learning agenda and DEEP is providing support through task 38. The majority of the work under this scope will be completed independently but will require collaboration with the DEEP Deputy Chief of Party, Senior Technical Lead for Youth, and Research Assistant through video/phone calls and emails. The DEEP project will provide support and mentorship throughout the period of performance.
