Description

We are looking for a remote full-stack developer excited to work on high value, complex, global transformation opportunities as part of our Advanced Analytics organization at Koch. This team member will be part of our custom app development team, to assist them with full-stack development of cutting-edge AI applications. We want passionate, forward thinking individuals who are driven to innovate through the intersection of cutting-edge research and high-quality data available within Koch's impressive portfolio of companies.

As a full-stack developer, you will be responsible for developing and managing cloud applications and working with a variety of programming languages, including Python, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Our development team works at the center of customer subject matter experts, data owners, business development, data scientists, and operations research teams to develop: data pipelines, business logic, and user experience. This team is the critical link between groups, accelerating all phases of our advanced analytics applications, from initiation to experimentation, build, pilot to production. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Python and its various frameworks to help scale to enterprise. As well, a solid understanding of front-end technologies and reusable components is desired.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Work with engagement leaders and program managers during project initiation to understand user stories and success criteria

  • Independently design, code, document, and unit test new features for applications that run in the cloud.

  • Ensure solutions produced adhere to best-practice object-oriented tenets, software design patterns, architectural patterns, coding standards, test methodology, and build/deploy patterns

  • Contribute to strategy for code management and product development, maintain reusable components that accelerate time-to-value

  • Follow contemporary Product and DevOps best practices, participate in agile ceremonies, work with customer in short sprints

  • Collaborate with product/project and program manager(s) to present resulting product to stakeholders

  • Make good technical decisions that provide solutions to business challenges

  • Works directly with the client user, front end developer, and data scientists to design, test and develop new business analytics applications.

  • Develop and maintain data integrations with internal and external sources.

  • Rapidly fix bugs, solve problems, and proactively strive to improve our products and technologies.

  • Creates and sustains processes, tools, and on-going support structures and processes.

  • Provide effective architecture/design direction to the development team and mentorship to less-experienced team members to increase effectiveness

The Experience You Will Bring
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional hands-on experience collaboratively developing full-stack applications for a production environment

  • Strong experience developing and testing Python and JavaScript

  • Experience designing and developing REST API's based web services

  • Understanding of common DevOps, CICD processes and SDLC methodologies

  • Experinece with AWS and building cloud based applications in a production environment (lamda ec2, ect)

  • Strong understanding of git and version control-based workflows

What Will Put You Ahead
  • Advanced, relevant education

  • Backend experience in designing and developing the application layer on Nodejs, (expressjs, typescript, nestJs), Python Fast-api and others.

  • Finance/HR domain expertise;

  • Experience with tools development in data science that enable users to build and end-to-end AI application - C3.ai, DataRobot, DataBricks

  • Able to apply quantitative and qualitative analysis.

  • Understands data selection, extraction, and cleansing for applications, including descriptive and diagnostic analysis.

  • Automated Testing

  • UX frameworks (User Center Design, Human Center Design)

Any compensation range provided for a role is an estimate determined by available market data. The actual amount may be higher or lower than the range provided considering each candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location. If you have questions, please speak to your recruiter about the flexibility and detail of our compensation philosophy.

For this role, we anticipate paying \$115,000 - \$160,000per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
