Overview:

The IT Director - Enterprise Architect will be responsible for driving Emerald enterprise architecture and roadmap development, be the key advocate for enterprise strategy, standards, best practices, patterns and enable the adoption of such in various enterprise applications, stays abreast of both business and technology, uses that knowledge to define long term roadmaps and drive new solutions to deliver value for business faster and more cost efficiently.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide hands-on guidance and oversight in architecting, designing, and developing enterprise applications using various technology such as ASP.Net, C#, VB.Net, T-SQL and Python.
  • Define and create architecture, standards, best practices, and guidelines in server architecture, Dev/Ops process, application architecture and data warehouse architecture. Be the advocate/promoter for the standards, best practice and develop re-useable patterns and drive solution pattern adoption within Emerald.
  • Define and create integration frameworks and design patterns to enable the seamless integration between different systems and take ownership of integration architecture between various applications, enterprise data warehouse and SaaS applications such as Salesforce (Sales Cloud, Pardot, Marketing Cloud, Community Cloud), A2Z, TMM, Zuora etc..
  • Provide leadership in SCRUM development methodology and create an optimum and efficient DevOps environment to the technical team.
  • Conduct design and code reviews and guide development team on best practices and standards in software development.
  • Evaluate and perform feasibility studies of potential technical solutions to be used in applications and the ability to create POC projects to demonstrate the technical solution and potential business benefits.
  • Conduct technical interview of new technical resources and provide day-to-day direction and guidance to the technical team as required.
  • Lead and advise teams in building solutions on various platforms (on-premise and cloud), including design, planning, management, maintenance and assessing systems for potential weaknesses or issues.
  • Facilitate technical and design discussions with IT executives to help the enterprise improve outcomes through new technologies and best practices.
Qualifications:
  • 10+ years' overall experience with Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture or Business Architecture.
  • 10+ years' experience in strategy development, design and implementation of complex Enterprise transformation, IT systems or consulting experience with distributed applications or systems architecture.
  • 10+ years of experience developing web applications and web services using best practice in software development and integration solution using frameworks and design patterns.
  • Hands on experience with both SQL and NoSQL database technologies in implementing SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS Architectures.
  • Experience leading and mentoring team members.
  • Extensive experience with integration technology and platform, microservice, messaging, SSIS, cloud platform such as Azure/AWS, application security, infrastructure, and networking standards.
  • Experience in creating data model, analyzing, and developing large-scale enterprise data warehouse and databases, preferable MS SQL Server using SSIS, CData, DBAmp, Azure, Snowflakes and Databrick etc..
  • Proficient in infrastructure technologies that support the application such as Single Sign-On, server virtualization, and load balancing.
  • Ability to prepare and clearly communicate proposed technical solutions to both technical and business audiences.
  • Experience driving discussions with senior business leaders regarding trade-offs, best practices, project management and risk mitigation.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, able to work well under deadlines in a changing environment.
  • Well organized and possess outstanding follow-through and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity and experience with Sales/Marketing practices, Salesforce, Pardot, Marketing Cloud, Zuora, Enterprise Data Warehouse, Master Data Management and Business Intelligence.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Target Compensation: $165,000-185,000 Annually (Bonus Eligibile)

Please note that this range reflects a reasonable estimate of the target compensation for this position. This range may ultimately vary based on a candidate’s qualifications and may be higher where required by applicable law.
