SUMMARY DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position works as part of the Heartland Housing Sanctuary team working in close collaboration with law enforcement and the domestic violence / sexual assault program service team. The program coordinator will directly oversee operations of the community-based advocacy programming to include outreach and training support, along with other crisis stabilization shelter duties. This position advocates on survivor’s/ programs behalf with all relevant government and non- governmental organizations. They will provide services designed to meet needs related to immediate safety, trauma recovery, and on-going support for survivors of sexual exploitation and trafficking. This position agrees to rotating on-call shifts, locating coverage when necessary, and overseeing the on-call schedule ensuring that 24/7 staffing coverage of the shelter services are available for survivors.
Compensation: $45,600 to $63,800 (per year) based on experience.
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and every other Sunday 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., additional shift coverage as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide regular supervision and support for all assigned program staff.
  • *Assist with recruitment to include posting openings, screening applicants, scheduling *interviews, and checking references
  • Hire, supervise monitor, train, evaluate and develop direct care program staff.
  • Ensure 24/7 coverage of crisis stabilization shelter
  • Assist with service delivery and project implementation throughout the program.
  • Participate in agency quality improvement teams and workgroups. Guides implementation of any projects, policies, etc.
  • Participate in weekly team meetings with HFS program staff.
  • Attend community meetings for the coordination of services for survivors of human trafficking.
  • Support the training and outreach efforts for the program.
  • Develop program policies and procedures, monitor implementation of policies and procedures, and implement action plans as needed.
  • Completes all required monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for quality improvement and grant purposes.
  • Creates, maintains, and shares as appropriate a dynamic self-care plan.
  • Strives to make connections between the agency and the larger community whenever possible to contribute to the agency’s ongoing fundraising and friend-raising efforts.
  • Essential functions of this job is to be performed on company physical work site
  • In town travel is required, includes use of personal vehicle.
  • Can work both independently, with little supervision, and as a part of a team.
  • Able to establish regularity and dependability in scheduling all appointment and accuracy in reports and statistics.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Two years’ experience in social services or related field
  • Management experience preferred
  • Valid Drivers License and acceptable driving record
