- Evaluating levels of swallowing, speech, and language difficulty
- Identifying treatment options
- Creating and carrying out individualized treatment plans addressing specific functional needs
- Teaching patients how to make sounds while improving their voices and maintaining fluency
- Helping individuals improve sentence structure and vocabulary used in written and oral language
- Working with children in developing and strengthening muscles used to swallow
- Counseling individuals and families on ways to cope with swallowing and communication disorders
- Primarily working with children and young adults with autism spectrum disorders and/or similar developmental disabilities
- Supervise a caseload of both ABA and speech therapy clients
- Additional job duties as assigned

- Master s degree in Speech and Language Pathology. California Speech-Language Pathologist license. Compliant with state healthcare regulatory requirements.
- Knowledgeable of up-to-date evidence-based treatment practices and programs.
- Knowledgeable of other community resources and agencies that serve children.
- Sensitive to working with an ethnically, linguistically, culturally, and economically diverse population.
- Able to travel to and work in multiple program service areas; reliable transportation needed (proof of valid driver license, current auto insurance identification card, and acceptable driving record per NIAC standards is required).
- Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; American Sign Language or bilingual ability preferred.
- Able to consistently demonstrate good judgment and decision-making skills.
- Able to exercise confidentiality and discretion pertaining to the work environment.
