As a field catastrophe (CAT) claims adjuster on our Home & Property team, you’ll manage the coverage and damage analysis of residential claims. Handling claims from start to finish you’ll support customer needs while ensuring swift resolution. You’ll also use strong negotiation and customer service skills to interact with customers, insurance carriers and others. Bring your field adjusting experience and we’ll offer the confidence and stability that come from working with a successful and growing organization.
This position requires frequent travel across the country. You can work from home when not traveling. Only accepting applicants in the eastern or central time zone.
This position includes a $5,000 starting bonus!
Duties & responsibilities
- Determines insurance coverage and extent of company's liability
- Inspects, scopes, approves, and adjusts estimates of damage, as well as determines loss amounts
- Prepares report of findings and negotiates settlement
Must-have qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher and a minimum of one year of claims handling experience
- Instead of the above, an associate degree and a minimum of three years related work experience, at least one year of which must be in claims handling
- Instead of a degree, a minimum of five years related work experience, at least one year of which must be in claims handling
- Valid driver's license and auto insurance
Preferred skills
- Homeowners policy experience
Compensation
- $59,900 - $70,000/year depending on candidate experience
- Gainshare bonus up to 16% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
- Deployment pay is also available during catastrophe extended hour events
