As a Diesel Maintenance Technician at Penske, you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining the safety and reliability of our customers' vehicles. Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct preventative maintenance and minor repairs on various vehicles to ensure customer safety and satisfaction.
  • Utilize Penske's tools and technologies for logging, researching, and completing repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
  • Perform tasks such as tire replacement or rotation, vehicle component lubrication and replacement, electrical system repairs, and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel engine vehicles.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to learn new skills through Penske's Diesel Maintenance Technician training and hands-on coaching.
  • Complete assigned projects and tasks as directed by supervisors.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Proficiency in problem-solving and comfort using tools.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Compliance with specific instructions, guidelines, and safety regulations established by Penske management.
