Position Summary

Under moderate supervision, is responsible for the review, analysis and optimization of related aspects of current and future business processes. Drives continuous business improvement by evaluating, developing, and supporting the implementation of recommended process and system changes.

Duties and Responsibilities

Analyzes, defines anddocuments detailed process workflows through user interviews, facilitated workshops and subject matter expert engagement. Develops a clear understanding of the core accountabilities within the process. Ensures the focus of activity is concentrated on the highest priority needs of the business.

Participates in the development of future business processes and organizational structures needed to support new products and/or services. Documents future processes to determine how to proactively improve current business for the development of future procedures and models. Examines processes holistically to understand the impact of changes to people, strategy, systems and general business operations.

Develops continuous improvement processes and strategies for current business procedures and systems. Collaborates with key stakeholders to Identify the challenges and opportunities to improve the business process and their impact.

Delivers fact based findings and recommendations and escalates issues identified during review and analysis to stakeholders.

Generates and compiles reports, complete with recommended improvements to business processes and operational procedures. Builds the business case for a process or system change and provides detailed input into the change management and implementation.

Establishes a network of subject matter experts that provide the detail and context for existing processes, and/or stakeholders that may influence others to help support or drive improvements and to mitigate risks.

Develops and maintains effective working relationships with supporting area management and staff.

Develops and issues communications for business process changes.

Escalates problems and mitigations to Manager.

Qualifications

The minimum education and experience requirements are as follows:

Bachelor's degree and two years of analytical, process, or business experience related to the specific business line; or

Associates degree and four years of analytical, process, or business experience related to the specific business line; or

High school equivalent and six years of analytical, process, or business experience related to the specific business line.

Strong analytical, communication, and problem solving skills required. A Deep understanding of relevant content knowledge required. Working knowledge of database, spreadsheet, presentation software, and data retrieval methods required. Experience utilizing reporting software and reporting tools preferred. A general business process improvement designation or certification such as Lean Six Sigma or Business Process Management (BPM) preferred.

All Employees with a telecommuting arrangement in which they consistently work remotely during part, or all, of their work schedule must have in their regular remote work location, access to business class internet service providing 3 megabytes (3 MBs) or more of bandwidth. For this purpose, business class internet means internet service with a static IP address, dedicated connections and guarantees or service level agreements (SLAs) addressing relevant performance characteristics. The internet service bandwidth requirement is subject to revision from time to time based on the requirements of ERIE's systems.
