Business Analyst

One of Irvine's most widely known and respected specialty hospitals is in search of a Business Analyst for the Revenue Cycle and Decision Support department. The Business Analyst role will require heavy analysis of contribution revenue and expenses through understanding and experience in reviewing financial data coupled with excellent data migration skills. This individual will work to improve data quality and performance focusing on the overall goals for the organization and the Group. This individual will also conduct user support trainings and create training material for users within the department. Creativity is a must because the ideal candidate for this role will work to identify opportunities to improve business processes intra and inter-departmentally. The Business Analyst will innovate within the scope of available resources and system limitations to create tools which will increase the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting and operations surrounding expense processing.

• Able to act in a lead role representing Revenue Cycle as it applies to end-user specifications for data solutions.
• Is able to anticipate Revenue Cycle needs and articulate this to appropriate teams, technical resources or vendors as appropriate.
• Lead highly complex technical decision-making efforts.
• Has a deep understanding of customer business processes and available data and automation solutions.
• Audit team members' work. Administers SQL Server database for Systems and Analytics team (creates SSIS packages, stored procedures, view, functions, scripts, ETL processes)
• Monitors ad hoc reporting request queues and response to / fulfills requests within pre-determined service timeframes.
• Select among authorized procedures and seek assistance when guidelines are inadequate, significant deviations are proposed, or when unanticipated problems arise.
• Development of analyses and reports to support revenue cycle initiatives, including financial evaluation of strategic initiatives and ongoing monitoring of progress. Identify and make recommendations for improving existing processes and follows through as appropriate. 

• 1+ year experience working as a Business Analyst
• BS/BA in Accounting or finance is preferred
• Under the direction of the System and Analytics Manager, the Sr Reporting Analyst is primarily responsible for revenue cycle periodic and ad hoc reporting and analysis.
• Addresses ad hoc and scheduled reporting requests related to system revenue cycle functions.
• Develops and populates revenue cycle KPI (Key Performance Indicator) dashboards and circulates for management review.
• Completes metrics research and analysis to support performance improvement initiatives.
