Ascent Living Communities, Colorado’s premier boutique senior living company, is searching for a diligent and experienced accountant to join our team. The accountant is joining our home office finance team and will primarily be responsible for accounts payable and assist in monthly general ledger activity including month end accruals. This is an on-site position working at our home office in Centennial, or at the senior living communities in the Denver area.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Accounts payable including: review invoices, prepare allocations, and check runs
  • Classify, record, and summarize numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records, using journals and ledgers or computers
  • Review and record monthly credit card activity
  • Reconcile home office level bank accounts
  • Assist with revenue and expense budget versus actual variance analysis
  • Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards
  • Treasury management of all banking balances to ensure sufficient levels are maintained
  • Work closely with Business Office Directors and collaborate with various departments
  • Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting
  • 5 years of experience in accounting
  • Experience working in senior living a plus
  • This is an onsite position splitting time between the home office and communities
  • Ability to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintain them over time
  • Due to the nature of the work performed by Ascent Living Communities, and that this position works with a vulnerable population, we do require a criminal background check be completed
  • This community will require proof of COVID-19 vaccination and booster when eligible, upon job offer, to comply with the regulations from the Colorado Department of Public Health

Pay:

$65,000 to $75,000 annual salary
