Job Summary As a member of the Cloud Enablement team you will be at the forefront of cloud transformational technology being implemented at First American, assisting developers who are expanding services and features to run their mission-critical applications.

As a Senior Cloud Developer/Engineer, you will act as the ‘Cloud Ambassador’ across your respective cloud product (AWS, Azure, Google), arming our customers with required tools & tactics to get the most out of their Product and Support investment.

TOP 5 SKILLS: 5-7 years' experience in Software Engineering and Systems Engineering - someone who can pick things up quickly - (AWS, Azure, Google, depending on team) Experience supporting infrastructure and services in public and private cloud environments (AWS, GCP, OpenStack).

Proficient ability to program (structured and OO) with various high level programming languages, such as Python/Java/Ruby/Perl/Go/Makefile/Java/C/C++, and JavaScript for building automation or integrations with APIs.

3 years of Terraform/infrastructure as code experience Needs someone who comes from a development background, not only a systems engineering background - they must have an interest in coding and have a developer mindset with hands-on experience or preference for hands-on work.

OPERATIONAL SUPPORT: First and foremost this position does have a customer support role component.

We provide 24/7 support 365 days a year.

US positions cover 10am – 10pm.

Offshore positions cover 10pm – 10am (on call support required based on a rotation schedule) On a typical day, a Senior Cloud Developer/Engineer will be primarily responsible for solving customer’s cases through a variety of customer contact channels which include telephone, email, and Microsoft Teams chat.

You will apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to provide tailored solutions for our customers and drive customer interactions by thoughtfully working with customers to dive deep into identifying the root cause of an issue.

We work on a broad spectrum of technical issues, a Senior Cloud Developer/Engineer may also coach/mentor new hires, develop & present training, partner with development teams on complex issues or contact deflection initiatives, participate in new hiring, write tools/script to help the team, or work with leadership on process improvement and strategic initiatives to ensure better customer experience and compliance with global cloud standards, practices and policies.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: This role supports our services that focus on Infrastructure Automation, Configuration Management and Governance and Developer Tools.

Infrastructure Automation encompasses services such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, AWS Service Catalog, and Prisma Cloud and Qualys for Governance.

To qualify for this role, you should have the following experience: Knowledge/experience in administration and troubleshooting of the following: DevOps/Deployment, and Configuration Management Solid understanding in continuous integration technology (e.g.

Chef, Puppet, Docker, Jenkins, Ansible, or related tools).

Experience with common formats such as JSON, YAML and compression utilities.

Expertise with monitoring or log aggregation tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, ELK) Must be capable of writing detailed solution specifications, diagrams, best practices/standards documentation, operating procedures, test plans/test reports.

Working knowledge of network protocols and network based services, including routing and network load balancing.

Experience implementing and working with open source frameworks.

Excellent communication skills, must be capable of working with cross functional technical and business teams and varying levels of management.

Understanding of Agile methodologies like Scrum and be able to work in fast-paced environment.

Strong project management skills, including excellent presentation skills, Must be capable of writing detailed solution specifications, diagrams, best practices/standards documentation, operating procedures, test plans/test reports Understand the complete deployment lifecycle from design, build, test, deploy.

Bachelor’s degree in Information Science/Information Technology, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field OR equivalent experience in a technical position.

AWS Certifications PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience building and supporting containerized applications on various platforms like GKE, EKS, ECS.

One or more Web and Application Server technologies (e.g.

Apache HTTPD, Apache Tomcat, Nginx, Glassfish, JBoss, Puma, Passenger, IIS).

Solid understanding of storage systems, including network filesystems.

Understanding of hypervisor/virtualization and containerization Expertise in key SRE Skills (Scalability, Reliability and Observability).

Solid understanding Linux/Unix system internals, including kernel tuning.

Experience with Failure Testing and Chaos Engineering.
