Senior Quality Engineer
Fairwinds Technologies is looking for an experienced Senior Quality Engineer to provide quality assurance support to the product development team, resolving bugs, defects, and other issues and ensuring the product meets customer specifications.
Location: Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), MD
Compensation: Base Salary
Minimum Qualifications:
11 years' experience
Bachelor s degree in computer science and/or an engineering degree, product management or relevant field experience.
Must hold an ACTIVE SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE
Communication skills both verbal and written.
Organizational skills as well as time management skills essential for project work.
Excellent computer skills
Strong writing, mathematics and statistics skills
Responsibilities:
Monitor, inspect, and evaluate products to ensure predetermined quality standards are met.
Develop and update testing-related documentation, including test cases, plans, and flaw-reporting procedures.
Proactively investigates, identifies, and implements best-in-class Quality Engineering practices.
Establish effective corrective action plans. Lead in implementation of quality assurance plans and process controls designed to meet or exceed internal and external requirements.
Applies sound, systematic problem-solving methodologies in identifying, prioritizing, communicating, and resolving quality issues.
Review and approve product and process qualification and validation and other change control related documentation.
Generate internal quality documentation such as quality plans, standard operating procedures and inspection procedures.
Participate in Product Review Boards. Identify non-conformance trends and develop technical investigation plans. Investigates and analyzes customer/internal complaints.
Performs analytical measurements and experiments to qualify or resolve product and process issues.
Will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic quality plans, master validation plans, validation protocols, inspection plans and quality/regulatory compliance operating procedures to meet DoD requirements.
Monitor field quality and analyze field returns to determine root cause.
Develops quality metrics, design and production certification plans for large programs to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements.
Leads various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs.
Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.
Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

This is a full time, exempt position.

Must be a U.S citizen with the ability to possess a valid US DoD security clearance.
