Job Summary:
This executive leadership role is responsible for driving the external distribution strategy of retirement products, with a focus on annuities. The role involves end-to-end management of relationships with institutional distribution partners, supporting revenue growth, market expansion, and member engagement. The position oversees business execution, partnership development, and strategic alignment across internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute the vision and strategy to grow retirement product distribution through financial intermediaries.
• Drive sales and market share growth on distributor platforms by optimizing product offerings and member experiences.
• Identify and act on market trends to shape business recommendations and priorities.
• Develop and maintain relationships with institutional distributors and key stakeholders.
• Oversee distributor onboarding, due diligence, and program deployment for new and existing partners.
• Manage business requirements and controls with third-party providers and internal teams across sales, operations, and technology.
• Lead execution of program and project management, budgeting, approvals, and operational controls.
• Monitor industry trends and distributor metrics to identify opportunities for deeper engagement and growth.
• Recruit, develop, and manage a high-performing team across functional areas.
• Ensure compliance with internal risk and regulatory standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree OR 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
• 10 years of experience in business development or relationship management within a complex environment.
• 6 years of leadership experience managing high-performing teams.
• Experience in establishing institutional distribution partnerships and overseeing suppliers across sales, service, and operations.
• Proven track record in business relationship management and product development execution.
• Experience managing P&L and working within insurance and financial services regulatory environments.
• Strong focus on operational efficiency and cost-saving innovation strategies.
• Executive-level communication and collaboration skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Advanced business acumen in financial services, life insurance, and industry trends.
• Experience with annuity products.
• Background in product management for retirement products.
• Executive-level experience in life insurance, property and casualty, or financial services.
• Certified Financial Planner (CFP) certification.
